We had an amazing time visiting to watch the 2024 solar eclipse. sadly we didn't get to see the eclipse due to cloudy weather, but we did experience the day turn to night momentarily which was very cool. Nevertheless we very much enjoyed our stay. the location is beautiful, peaceful and private. We enjoyed exploring the neighborhood and seeing the Amish way of life. We purchased delicious pickles and blueberry jam from the Amish neighbors right down the road. the Cabin has everything you need to feel right at home. Lots of space and very well put together. The cabinets are all well stocked, organized and labeled making it easy to find what you need. The bird feeder outside was a very nice touch, we saw many colorful blue and yellow birds over the few days we were there. we would love to come back for another visit! thank you Darren for being a great host.

This place has many comfortable beds to sleep in. It’s in a great property. Everything was snow covered several inches so we didn’t walk the nature trail, but that was a nice feature. The kitchen has many amenities and most are clearly labeled to find them. If you go during cold weather, be prepared to allow many hours to warm the cabin, as it’s heated primarily by a gas fireplace downstairs and it took a considerable amount of time to raise the temp in the home. However, the baseboard heaters in the bedrooms were helpful and there were plenty of blankets and quilts - we used four per bed but by around 4am we didn’t need them all. In the morning it was cozy and comfortable inside at around 65. We couldn’t get the heater upstairs to work but the host was responsive to try to troubleshoot it and said he would look into fixing it the next day. I’d stay here again, especially if we were staying more than one night.
