Everyone has said the listing doesn’t do this place justice, and those were my immediate thoughts as well. This was one of my all-time favorite Airbnb stays. The cabin is in a very private location- I have never been somewhere so quiet in my life! The backyard has a fire pit, grill, and access to the water. We had a bonfire every night, and I set up a hammock in the backyard which was the best decision ever. There are a plethora of BEAUTIFUL easy/moderate hiking trails 20-25 minutes away from the cabin. Food and gas are also a 15-20 minute drive from the cabin as well, which was not an issue for us. We miss it already and would without a doubt love to visit again in the future.

This cabin was just what we were looking for. Beautiful surroundings. Peaceful. Private. Quiet. Almost total isolation from the outside world. The cabin has been there a while, so don't go if one of your requirements is modern luxury. But everything there works and is comfortable, and it's a great place to disconnect from the rest of the world (though it also has wifi, so you can check on the world as needed). Kurt made great recommendations for local restaurants. Check in and check out was easy and seamless. My wife and I hope to visit Maine again, and when we do this cabin will be on our list of places to stay.
