Great place tucked back off the highway very close to Purgatory. Our kids had a great time in the snow outside. House is well stocked especially the kitchen. 4x4 is definitely needed in the winter like it says. It snowed a solid 20 inches the weekend we were there and while the plow truck came around the first big snow morning, I’m sure I couldn’t have made it without my 4x4 truck.

Place was super close to Purgatory and in great shape. Had everything we needed for our weekend trip.

I will start with the parts that I did not appreciate first; Getting to the cabin, I drive a 4x4 Jeep & it could not get to the location. Hopefully we brought a big diesel truck too, so we had to use load the Jeep, fill the truck and drive back and forth the entire trip. Steep hills and roads full of snow. Once we got to the cabin and inside, we found multiple spiders and a couple ticks. That really freaked us out and left everyone in easy for the last two days. Lastly, water pressure, absolutely non existent. Very tough when it’s freezing. I guess I did have one more issue, a $200 cleaning fee when you ask us to do 85% of the cleaning before check out. Overall I will find somewhere else to stay for our monthly visits to Durango. The cabin fit us all, took a day to get it warm because the hosts didn’t turn anything on before getting there. Once it was warm, it was fine. After shoveling the snow off the patio, that was pretty.

The place was awesome, and there were great spacious areas. Fully equipped house with all amenities. Great atmosphere.
