There's so much to do at Coppet Hill! A paradise for walkers and nature-lovers, with over 8 miles of footpaths and trails to explore.
Our quiet hills give you amazing views of Lyme Bay and the Jurassic Coast - from Portland Bill and Chesil Beach in the East, to Lyme Regis, Beer Head and beyond in the West. The woods and hedgerows are bursting with birdsong, and we're a fantastic starting point for hikes to the Jurassic Coast, or around the peaceful Marshwood Vale.
West Dorset is a land of bustling market towns, quiet country lanes, and of course the spectacular Jurassic Coast. Our nearest town, Bridport (15 mins), is famous for its twice-weekly street market (Weds & Sat), its vintage and antiques quarter, and a vibrant mix of independent shops and cafes. If it's fossils you're after, head for Lyme Regis (20 mins) and its iconic Cobb harbour. Mary Anning lived here, and there are dozens of fossil shops and museums, as well as the Marine Aquarium. On rainy days, Bridport Museum, Lyme Regis Museum and Dinosaurland are all excellent.
There are fantastic beaches at Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Seatown, Eype and West Bay - all within 15-20 minutes drive. Lyme's Broad Ledge is one of the best places in England for rockpooling, and West Bay is popular with paddle boarders and kayakers, both on the sea and the River Brit (you'll recognise its iconic cliffs from the ITV drama Broadchurch).
