Staying at the Millpond House was an absolutely delightful experience! The location proved to be a perfect hub for our explorations around the stunning Isle of Skye. We were impressed by how meticulously clean and modern the house was while still feeling cozy and welcoming. Every amenity we could have needed was thoughtfully provided. Our host, Douglas, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, always ready to help with advice and tips about the area. The welcome basket was a charming touch that made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. We highly recommend Millpond House to anyone looking for a serene and convenient stay in this beautiful part of the world.

This place was amazing. We felt very welcome. The house spotless. It’s been an amazing staying and wish I could have stay longer. The house is fully equipped. Nothing you’d miss there! Lovely location, just 10m walk to the town.

Douglas's place was amazing! The wood fireplace was perfect for warming up after long days of wandering on Skye. The large windows looking out on the bay of Portree were amazing. The rooms and beds were super comfortable. The large bathtub was great for me being 6'4". The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking, which we did a few nights. The location, atop a hill and very private and quiet was perfect. Douglas was extremely responsive and accommodating. One of my favorite stays so far that I'll definitely be staying again! Do yourself a favor book Douglas's place!

This was probably the nicest place we have ever stayed in. Totally quiet yet only ten minutes walk to downtown and five minutes walk to grocery store and fresh fish market. Parking is hard to find in Portree, so we appreciated being able to walk to town. Portree is the best place to stay in Skye as it's close to just about everywhere on the island. We did an 18 km hike straight from the front door and it was amazing. The home is located about 20-25 minutes from the best hiking areas on the island. The place was spotless when we arrived and it has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. It also has a nice patio to sit on after a long day of hiking and a premium wood stove for those cool evenings. The beds are super comfy too. 110% recommend!

Millpond House is an outstanding place to stay and the hosts have done everything to make it a great experience for guests. It is beautifully designed and really comfortable. The large window in the living room has a view of both mountains and sea and is incredibly calming. As a family, we had a great time at Millpond House and found it the perfect base to go back to after long walks and outings. The luxurious touches made it a lovely environment in which to unwind after hiking and sightseeing.
