Make sure if using Google Maps that you do not turn left onto Pierson Street from Wardner-Kikomun Road just after you pass the former CNP Lumbermill Warehouse on the left. Google Karen tries to take you up a tiny gravel pathway that says “No Tresspassing”; instead, continue sorta right onto the gravel dirt road. That is the road Mitchell is referring to in his directions. You do turn left onto Pierson Street but not where Google Karen says. We never saw Lot 16 on the numbers out front but there is something by the driveway covered in large plastic grey tarps. You can go slowly and look down the road and see a white trailer. When leaving the gated community, stay on the right side of road even though the gate opens in the middle so the sensor can pick up the vehicle. I backed a Hyundai Elantra down the driveway everyday as we took daily outings. It was a little tricky opening the door as it has 2 locks; I tugged while my sister turned keys every which way which is the 1st time we got inside. We ended up using the bottom one only when we went out. When we first opened the door, the trailer was very clean. The location is very quiet, treed and you feel safe knowing not anyone is going to come in. We drove and parked on the road by the Beach Access for residents only because thought we might be too tired after walking down the large hill. We used sticks to help with balance because it was a slippery gravel path. Once you get by the first bend which isn’t very far, you can see the lake, and you are basically down. It’s probably about 8 minutes down if you park at the top going slowly. We saw lots of deer down there. We also found other lakes like Norbury Lake (10-15 minutes away), Waldo Cove on the Koocanusa and Wasa Lake. Norbury Lake is colder but the mountain views on something that floats on the water are amazing. It also has private picnic areas all along the shore with trees. Waldo Cove had nice mountain views, the water was warmer and the pit toilets were clean. Wasa Lake has a nice beach, not quite the mountain views as the other two but flush toilets. Wardner Provincial Park has beautiful views of the Koocanusa Lake, lots of trees and picnic tables under trees. We drove to Lund Lake to see turtles and decided not to get out of the vehicle because we saw a bear down the road. We did eventually continue down Ha-Ha Creek Road to explore the other lakes. No other lakes had accesses. We saw deer though.

Nice location on a future build site in a developing community. Good people, beautiful views. Mitchell was responsive and easy to communicate with. Trailer had everything we needed to enjoy our stay including AC and hit water. We would definitely stay again.

Mitchell is a fantastic host! He was willing to help us with any questions we had before our stay and was very quick to respond whenever we needed help while at the property. This trailer was an awesome family get away and was so close to such a great lake that could be enjoyed by everyone! I would highly recommend this stay to anyone who loves to get into nature but might not have the opportunity to own a trailer themselves.

We checked out after 1 night. We were disappointed with our stay. The trailer location was misleading and does not have private access to the lake. The lot is not graded and is a huge hazard. The carpets are stained and the trailer had a disgusting smell upon entry. The host called me prior to our stay and asked me if he could drop items off at my house so I could transport them to the trailer. The shower is not usable. We requested a refund from the host for the whole amount and he only refunded for 2 nights.
