A spacious house without the bells and whistles. Pros: lots of space, 4 bathrooms, big beds, nice barbeque grill. We also liked being able to get up close to the animals through the fence - a lovely treat for the kiddos. Cons: missing some kitchen essentials (salt, pepper, oil) and the pots and pans are in rough shape, no recycling or composting, no list of checkout procedures or instructions for the home. The caretakers live on the property and are frequently in the backyard space so this is not the place to go for privacy. Their big dog got out once and gave us a little scare when it ran up out of nowhere, but I think that was an innocent mistake. We were notified the day before that the hot tub was out of order but we got a slight discount for the inconvenience. Michelle was quick to respond to all my questions.

We rented this property for a week, under the impression we would have privacy, a safe place for our dogs to roam, and a hottub. When we arrived we were informed the hottub had been broken for over a year. We were told the Live in Animal Caretakers would not be bothering us, yet the animals live directly behind the property that they walked through numerous times. They were meant to assist us if necessary, yet a simple request for the location of more toilet paper resulted in an unwarranted visit by one of the live in staff whom we could not communicate with due to a strong language barrier. We attempted to communicate that she had satisfied our request, but she continued to rummage through the rest of the house. We were told pets were welcome and could roam the large property. However, the property we actually have access to is more like half an acre that we shared with the Live in staff. They were not comfortable with our dogs, meaning we had to put them away numerous times when they walked through and around the house. Lastly, one the second day a group of people who seemingly knew the live in staff/owners came to visit the animals. Having expected privacy, this was very upsetting and resulted in us having to put our "welcomed pets" away again as to not bother the visitors. We managed to still enjoy ourselves, but the lister was not clear or honest about the conditions and live in staff. Specifically, the language barrier, lack of privacy, and misconstrued advertising.

A beautiful, quiet farm stay! Was large enough for our wedding party to stay together and close to our venue. Some landscaping could be done, but overall very nice. There was an issue with the main toilet, but Michelle was quick to bring in a plumber and repair it for us. Would definitely recommend, thanks for hosting us!

fun place but a little hard to find

Great stay for a large group. Lots of bedrooms and space for cooking and hanging out. Outdoor space was a huge bonus, as was the hot tub. Marty, the caretaker for the property was incredibly helpful and didn’t intrude or come to the house unless we asked for help. Kitchen is well-equipped with everything you’d need, tons of towels, distance to the lake was a short drive, and there was lots of space for parking. Agree some updates could be made, but it did not interfere with the trip or our ability to enjoy ourselves. No service, but wifi worked and ended up being nice to unplug for a couple of days.
