Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. I live on a peninsula with no thru road so it is very quiet. There is plenty of space for parking. The covered dock with a swing and lights is available for your enjoyment both day and evening hours. The apartment is furnished with everything you need for a lake vacation including beach towels and water toys.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. We needed a respite from a stressful, busy world and found it in the absolute quiet and beautiful surroundings at Captain Jack's. The apartment is roomy and immaculate. From windowsills to corners to kitchen drawers, all is neat and clean. Very comforting. Very nice appliances, nice cabinetry, gorgeous wood floors, fun lake-theme decor throughout. Dock is large, modern with swing and plenty of area for sunbathing. We took out the paddle boat several times. There were kayaks and paddleboards available. Many options. This part of Lake Hartwell is secluded and even though the weather was outstanding, the lake traffic was minimal and kept our wildlife watching really entertaining. Great stay!!

Sharon is an exceptional host. She takes great pride in providing an extremely clean, well decorated and furnished and practical apartment home. Its the little things, touches of things she thought of and provided like heated blankets on each side of the bed, plenty of towels, easy to use thermostat, coffee maker and coffees, teas, etc. that made my stay comfortable and enjoyable even in unpredictable weather. She is a caring and personable individual and I would highly recommend Captain Jacks to anyone looking for place in the area to stay.
Our daughter plays sports at Emmanuel College - we enjoyed our stay and will be back! Sharon's place had lots of space, privacy from the main house, a beautiful view of the lake, and was spotless. Added bonus were the board games - we ended up having a fun evening just hanging out playing some games.

we have 6 homes on a small peninsula on Lake Hartwell. Our road is stone and gravel so we don't have any thru traffic. One home has a younger family, one home is strictly weekenders and the rest of us are retired.
I am located 2 miles from the center of Hartwell. There are not sidewalks to walk into town so a car is needed. There are paved streets for walking and jogging just a few feet from my door. There are only a few houses in the area so the area works well for exercise outings. We have some mid size dogs that families allow to roam throughout the day so you may encounter them but they are friendly.
