Enjoy London from our bright, spacious townhouse in Hackney. We’re on a peaceful street a short walk from Hackney's buzzing markets, bars, restaurants, and parks. We’re two stops from Liverpool Street so there’s easy access to central London. You’ll have a space in our home with two bedrooms, your own bathroom and your own kitchen/dining room, all with high ceilings, fireplaces, and big sash windows. Pets are welcome! The space has four rooms - one very large bedroom now upgraded with a king-size bed and new Emma mattress, one smaller bedroom with a single bed that extends to a double, one large bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a spacious kitchen/dining/living room with an oven, fridge, and freezer. You have the kitchen and bathroom entirely to yourself so it's a pretty private space. The rooms are bright and are decorated in a minimalist/Scandinavian/midcentury style with period features and wooden floorboards throughout. The space fits three people comfortably (with two sharing the double) but just let us know if you have more and we can see what's possible! Note that the rooms are over 2-3 floors. The main bedroom is on the same level as one of our studies, although we don't use the study often so we rarely bump into our guests (although we're also very friendly and happy to say hello if you like!)

We had a great stay here with James's, everything was as described, we found some really good restaurants within walking distance and thoroughly recommend The full English cafe just down the road for breakfast, first class breakfast 😀
Wir haben uns bei James und Yunhan sehr wohlgefühlt. Vorab wurden uns schon sehr viele Infos zu der Umgebung gesendet, unter anderem auch die Beschreibung zur Anreise der Unterkunft. Diese Infos waren wirklich sehr ausführlich, worüber wir uns gefreut haben. Das Haus an sich ist sehr schön, typisch englisch und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die beiden Schlafzimmer und das Wohnzimmer boten alles, was wir benötigten. Auch das Badezimmer war schön geräumig und für alle Räume galt: Sehr sauber. Generell ist die Unterkunft zu empfehlen, da es nicht weit weg von der Stadt ist, man hat in der Seitenstraße seine Ruhe und in der Umgebung gibt es einige Lokale, wo man wunderbar Kaffee trinken, Lebensmittel kaufen oder auch das allseits beliebte englische Frühstück zu sich nehmen kann. Sollte es mich wieder nach London verschlagen, würde ich nicht zögern, ein Zimmer bei James und Yunhan zu buchen :-)
Lovely house on a lovely street. Free parking was a bonus too. Clean, spacious and quiet. Hosts available to help with super fast response time. Free parking outside. Nice shops, cafes and restaurants a few minutes walk. Great find. Huge thanks. We will definitely be back!
James' and Yuhan's beautiful, relaxing, light and comfortable home is within 10/15mins walk of Hackney Downs station through a vibrant neighbourhood. Lots of private space at the top of their lovely house for guests, perfectly comfortable beds and bedding. Exactly like the photos. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you.
Alles wunderbar. Wir kamen viel später als erhofft, da wir nur die Personalausweise statt der Reisepässe in Bruxelle beim Check-In dabei hatten (für den Eurostar ausreichend, aber nicht für die Grenzkontrolle!).... Yuhan und James haben sehr empathisch reagiert und uns mit einer Aufmerksamkeit überrascht - herzlichen Dank nochmal dafür! Beide Gastgeber achten sehr auf die Privatsphäre der Gäste. Es fühlt sich fast so an, dass man in dem Haus alleine lebt. Viel Sonnenlicht in den Zimmern mit viel Raum. Super bequeme Matratze und Bettwäsche :-) Busse sehr nah.

Hackney is a wonderfully diverse and inclusive place combining green spaces and nature with trendy alternative cafes and bars. All within easy reach of the city via either Hackney Downs or Hackney Central, both around 12 minutes walk from our house. Our road leads onto Chatsworth Road at one end, lined with lovely cafes and a market on Sundays, and Lower Clapton road at the other with craft beer, a lovely bookshop and yarn shop, and restaurants. If you fancy some greenery there's the River Lee or Victoria Park and London Fields all within walking distance (both parks have great weekend markets). Or for buzzing restaurants and a big night out head into Dalston for jazz and alternative music and general all round inclusive loveliness.
Hackney Central overground station, Hackney Downs overground station and Haggerston overground station are all around 10-15 minutes walk. There are a variety of bus stations within three minutes walk.

Hi everyone! My name's James and I live in Hackney, east London, with my partner Yunhan. I work on digital technology and public policy for a charity and Yunhan is a UX Designer. We love to travel and we try to spend time in China as often as we can with Yunhan's family. I used to live in Boston and Chicago for a while, so I also love to get back to the US when I can. We have two pets, a cat called Miso and a very friendly standard Poodle called Brexie. We travel a lot with Airbnb and also host at our home in Hackney, so do check out the listing!
