Positives: Great location, lovely house, nice closed in garden. Another parking space needed.Nice in closed garden. Few minor negatives: Stairs and drop in the garden not very child friendly. Some of the beds weren't very comfortable. Also some parts hadn't been cleaned since previous guests such as utensils we found still dirty. Would have been nice to have some more info on local area etc

The property and the location were great. We had 4 adults staying all in separate rooms. Plenty of space. Ample garage parking for 2 cars. Well appointed property we would be happy to use again. However, make sure you have access instructions. It was a fluke we managed to get in.

Good location - just a few minutes from the town centre. The house was okay - very steep staircases and a bit tired looking around the edges and could do with a lick of paint/polyfilla in places. Single glazed so the traffic going up and down the road was very noticeable (house is on a main road) and the windows ran with condensation every morning (early October). We all commented that the mattresses were very hard and uncomfortable and it would have been nice to have a few extra blankets in the wardrobes as the house was quite chilly in the evenings. We had a 3 year old in our party and it would have been nice if a stairgate could have been provided especially as the children's bedrooms are all at the top of the house and the lounge is on the ground floor. We would happily stay in Dartmouth again but wouldn't choose to stay at Hawkins Cottage again.

We had a great stay at Hawkins. Our family were spoiled for space and loved all of the facilities. The house was in a prime location just a few minutes walk from the centre of Dartmouth. The kitchen was very well equipped and having parking for 2 cars was a bonus. We would love to stay again.

Loved the house and the location. Plenty of bathrooms. Easy access to town. Very private even though it was on a main road. Just what we expected from the description. Things that let it down: Bedding and linens were poor quality. Several things broken or missing in the kitchen Entry pad for the garage door was difficult to find and the specific button to open the door was worn through. NO recycling provision!! We collected all our recyclable and then tried to drop them off in town, only to find they wouldnt accept anything but newspaper. Dartmouth needs to sort this problem out.
