Fantastic location!! Peaceful, private house in a quiet neighborhood on the top of a hill, within walking distance to downtown Calumet. Beautiful woods in the backyard, and scenic views of downtown from the upstairs bedroom. Large, well kept parking area with prompt snow removal. The house itself was clean inside and out, and free of clutter. Beds were all memory foam and very comfortable, cookware was stainless steel, and there was an ample supply of plush towels. The sauna was so relaxing after a long day of adventuring! Excellent instructions and communication from the host. We will definitely stay again when visiting the Calumet area!

Austin’s property was very cozy, and provided the necessary essentials for my family to enjoy our trip. The property is very peaceful and private, but just a few blocks from town. For our trip this was the perfect location between visiting our daughter at MTU in Houghton, and exploring Copper Harbor and the surrounding Keweenaw Peninsula area. His sauna was simple to use, and provided an amazing experience for my family. I highly recommend using it if you stay here. This property will be on our list of “return to’s” when we visit the area.

It was a great location and quiet neighborhood. It was easy to get in and out of the house.

The place was fine— it was in a good location, and you don’t care about comfort, the place is great: close to nature, room to park atvs/snowmobiles, a wood stove sauna, and Austin is a responsive and kind host. But it isn’t comfortable at all. The house was outfitted with the cheapest possible option of everything: the beds were lumpy, the kitchen only had cheap serrated knives and plastic plates, the curtains repeatedly fell apart, there was only overhead lightning.
