Highly recommend this sanctuary of peace- private access to a beautiful lake made for an amazing getaway! The view from the house is gorgeous, especially at sunrise. The lake is huge, with warm and clean water. The hosts provided all sorts of amenities to maximize your enjoyment of the lake, including kayaks, a motor boat, and fishing equipment— such a treat for travelers coming from NYC with little gear! The house is very comfortable with lots of entertainment (2 smart TVs, games, musical instruments.) The hosts are ultra responsive to address any questions or concerns, and they go above and beyond to create a cozy and homey atmosphere— they provided fresh farm eggs, fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers around the house, and some toiletries in the bathroom- BEST hosts ever! Hope to return some day.

This stay is the definition of what an Airbnb should be. April was easy to communicate with, responsive, flexible, and most importantly, made sure we felt at home. The house was beautiful, peaceful, and full of amenities to have the best time. Fishing, having a bonfire, playing chess, the piano or the guitar, listening to old records while having breakfast, and sitting under the screened porch for the morning coffee. We stayed in summer but you can enjoy it any time of the year.

Great private location. Safe and clean. My wife and I would recommend Essex Mill to any looking for a quiet relaxing weekend with a wonderful view.
