Serene. I was simply looking for a nice little getaway place to relax etc. This place did just that! I am a country girl at heart but wanted something with a twist. Also to be near some nice shopping adventures too. Happy Goat Retreats is the perfect spot. Right near Lake Conroe and 30mins to The Woodlands. My sister and I absolutely enjoyed ourselves. From Kayaking at the local spot with Mr. Larry (check him out) to shopping and catching a movie at the Reel Luxury Cinema. Everything was just as the pictures show. The host Chris was very attentive and proactive. Now I am relaxed and ready to return to the hustle/bustle lol. My family and I will definitely return soon. Thank you Chris for everything and s/o to the locals for the warm welcome.

My wife and I had a nice weeklong relaxing stay at the Happy Goat Retreat. We stayed in the Goat cargo home and it was plenty spacious considering it’s “glamping”. The grounds are great and offer plenty to enjoy including a pond, fire pits, and a Barndo that has many amenities. We will definitely look to stay there again in the future. Thanks Chris!

We are a family of four. We used every amenity, we played every game, walked the entire property, fed and petted the sweet goats, we fished, swam, had smores, grilled yummy foods, and watched the stars and saw the sunrise. Nobody in our family wanted to leave. We will be coming back. Special shout out to Mrs. Gretchen, the Property Manager. You are so wonderful. We loved every minute of our stay! After disappointment from a different BnB-glamping location in Austin, my g/f and I were relieved that this host posted and accurate description and photos of the container suite. Absolutely clean with higher quality fixtures, cabinets, shower doors and furniture. Okay, the cute pigmy goats deserve a mention as that was part of the draw to this location, but the entire facility was better than expected and the host, Chris, and his staff do a wonderful job keeping the place up! And remember... I'm paying tis compliment with the knowledge of the site's rural location. If you're on the fence, you should definitely give this place a try. Thank you!
