We were so impressed by the chalet, the location, and overall experience. It was very clean, had all the amenities that we needed, and the hottub was a bonus. It is on a quiet street directly on the water. We enjoyed watching the ships pass through, and the tide go in and out. Kayaking was so much fun, and did it while the tide was at its highest. The "beach" advertised is a grassy beach, not ideal for swimming (you could if feeling adventurous), but great for kayaking and exploring. The chalet was very spacious, with more sleeping quarters/beds than advertised. A large deck overlooked the water, where we enjoyed bird watching and many meals. We had supper while watching the sun set. It was beautiful. The chalet is about 40 minutes to Levy ferry/across from Quebec City, and there are many local venues to check out (including an apple orchard and microbrewery minutes away). We would highly recommend this gem of a place!

Located on a short, private road and overlooking the majestic St. Lawrence River, which often comes right up to the edge of the property at high tide, this place is awesome! The view from the many windows, the two second-floor balconies, the large deck, and the back yard is hard to beat! We appreciated the deck chairs from which we could admire the view and watch the freighters go by while drinking our morning coffee or just relaxing in the afternoon. A gas BBQ and dining tables & chairs on the deck are great for enjoying an outdoor meal. A fire pit with a supply of firewood added to the enjoyment of the evenings. And there is a hot tub to soak in. The house itself is fairly large & roomy, although the kitchen is cozy. There is a cool spiral staircase from the dining area to the second floor. And another corner staircase from the living room to one of the second-floor bedrooms. However, the bedrooms, having open access or doors that can't be locked or have windows in them, are not as private as some may like. The house has only one split-unit air-conditioner installed in the upstairs walkway. While it can lower the temperature somewhat, it was difficult to sufficiently cool the living room and the bedrooms on hot days & nights. But when temps are temperate or cool, this will obviously not be an issue. Overall, we found the place very peaceful and relaxing and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. And it's only a half-hour drive along a scenic route to the shops, restaurant, and sights of Quebec City.
