We had a lovely stay! Such a cute place and very well taken care of. Location was perfect, close to the pier, night market and buzz but if you walked the other direction you reached a calm beach and could take a boat to long beach in under 5 minutes. The breakfast was everything we needed and we could order coffee and eggs after our liking, at no extra cost! A pipe broke so the water in the shower was a bit red but they fixed it within a day and of course stuff like this can happen when on a island ☺️ Staff was super friendly and we would love to stay here again if coming back. Can really recommend.

We had booked "Simla's place" but never ended up staying at the property. It was a really awful adventure and I cannot recommend enough that you do not book with Simla or her properties. Upon arrival to the pier we found the Chunut House signs. There was a nice man there waiting for us who offered to carry our luggage to the hotel. Our luggage was very light, but he would not let us leave without him even though we found the location on Google maps. Instead we waited in the very hot sun on the pier for 25 minutes for others to get off of the ferry. There was an umbrella, but it was occupied by many others. When we finally made it to the Chunut House we waited for almost an hour while they checked other people in and was clearly calling someone about us (as they kept saying "Air Bnb"). Then we were told we're going to a different location without explanation and they started carrying our bags away. I had to press them hard for details to which they informed they never got the Airbnb booking and they were overbooked. So they were taking us to a different hotel. That other hotel was across the street at the Phi Phi Chang Grand Resort. Their hotel was very different from what we booked. It was dirty and the bed was as hard as a rock. I thought for sure we had been scammed, but Simla reach out and explained the situation. She said she could get us into the room we booked for our second night. We informed her that we had a tour starting at noon the next day and needed to check in before then. She insisted it's not a problem. Even the morning of the transfer back to our reserved room, minutes before we went back to Chunut, she confirmed the staff is waiting for us and they're ready for us to check in. We packed up and arrived at Chunut only to discover we weren't allowed to check in until 1pm (well after we would be gone for our tour). Simla changed her story and said we can leave our bags with them, but we weren't ready for our tour as we expected to be checking in, and we didn't feel comfortable leaving our bags. We also didn't trust we would have a room when we showed up later that night after the tour as we had been lied to many times up until now. After an hour of arguing with the hotel and Simla and getting absolutely no where, and realizing we had little time to make it to our tour, we went back to the alternative hotel. It became clear during this process that Simla is a middle man making reservations at a hotel and charging extra through Airbnb. Not once did we meet her or speak to her directly (except over Airbnb messaging). She outright lied to us multiple times. We had a two night reservation at "her place" and never once stayed there. We were only on the island for a short time and spent multiple hours arguing about a reservation we made weeks in advance. It really distracted from our vacation, and I do not wish this kind of stress on anyone.

Beautiful place with stunning views! And such lovely and accommodating staff!
