Cabin 5 is part of Lake George Resort and sits at the end of the road on 2.75 acres so you will really be able to experience the peace and quiet this little resort has to offer. You will enjoy all the comforts of home with that "up north" feel. A picnic table with 2 lawn chairs and a gas BBQ grille are outside your cabin. Kayaks and paddle boats are all free to use. Dogs are allowed spring and fall seasons only for $15 per dog per day with prior approval and must be fully vaccinated The West Branch area offers many opportunities for fun adventures if you desire to leave the lake. The Rifle River and Ausable Rivers, ORV trails, hiking trails and an awesome park are all within a few minutes drive. The Saganing Eagles Landing Casino is only 30 minutes away.

My son and I took an impromptu two-day vacation and had the good fortune of booking a cabin at Lake George Resort! Carin is the most friendly, hospitable person you’ll ever meet (Her dog Gigi is pretty fantastic too)! From start to finish she made sure my son and I had the best time. There are so many things to do on the property (basketball, ping pong, horseshoes, badminton…) in addition to swimming. They also have kayaks and pedal boats you can use. All of the cabins are close enough that you can be social, and far enough apart that you can enjoy privacy. No AC in the cabin but plenty of fans to move the air and make it comfortable. If you’re looking for a nice, lakeside experience I highly recommend GLR!

This "peaceful place around the corner" is very special because it is so quiet and has so much water frontage. Lake George is an all sports lake but is not overrun with too many boats. You can bring your own boat and dock it here at one of my docks and there is a public boat launch on the other side of the lake.
Ogemaw County does have a public transit system so if you don't want to drive you can give them a call. We are only 5 miles from shopping including an outlet mall, dining, a theater and many excellent golf courses.

I am 69 years old and I live next to the rental house on Lake George with my 2 year old Lab, GiGi. I have lived here 16 years and owned a resort prior to this for 10 years. I love welcoming new folks to stay here on Lake George and they quickly become friends. It makes my heart smile and brings so much joy into my life to see families and friends enjoy this little piece of heaven. The lake and beach are wonderful and it is very peaceful and quiet yet we are only 4.5 miles from shopping, dining and medical facilities. I hope you will choose to come and stay with me.
