Ce logement est trop chère pour ce qui est réellement proposé. En effet, le logement est tres mignon, propre à premiere vu et tres calme, par contre rien n'est fait pour fonctionner : pas d'eau chaude les premiers jours, l'eau courante est marron. les matelas et oreillers sont tres tres vétustes . Tout est abimé; ni la radio ni le lecteur musique , plusieurs lampes ne fonctionnent pas. Mais le plus gros problème, c'est qu'il faut garer sa voiture à plusieurs centaines de metres sur un parking, et ensuite escalader une montagne à pieds pendant 10mn au milieu de la nature sans éclairage ( le soir) pour accéder à la maison. Impraticable si vous avez un enfant jeune et des bagages. C'est un endroit calme et reposant, mais complètement en dehors du prix par rapport à la prestation. Dommage

Je komt tot rust in een bijzondere huis met geschiedenis, mini museum, zo midden in het bos waar gezang van veel vogels en insecten te horen zijn. Magisch.

House on the path brengt je terug naar het Saba van 'vroeger'. Afgelegen in alle rust, maar toch ook heel eenvoudig en snel sta je midden in het centrum van Windwardside. Het huisje ziet en voelt als een museum. Een prachtige locatie voor iemand, die op een prachtige, groene locatie in alle rust wilt zijn, maar ook wilt genieten van de heerlijke restaurants (waarvan er eentje letterlijk om de hoek ligt) wilt genieten. Zoals gezegd het huisje brengt je terug naar het Saba van 'vroeger', maar beschikt desondanks over een heerlijke badkamer, buitendouche en keuken, waar je in principe alles kan bereiden wat je wilt. Helaas waren wij op doorreis en hadden relatief wat meer bagage, dan gewenst. Hierdoor was het even afzien met de trappen, maar zonder bagage waren ze zelfs na een lekker flesje wijn goed te doen. Een heerlijk authentiek huis om het prachtige eiland Saba te bezoeken. We hebben erg genoten van ons verblijf op Saba.

The house is gorgeous, decorated beautifully and very peaceful. The location and aesthetics of the house are incredible. My partner and I enjoyed the outdoor shower, eating our meals on the patio, the sunlight through the bedroom windows in the morning, and the views. The hike to the cottage is tough in the dark, but after a few trips, you get used it. The cottage is secluded and private, yet a short walk to bars, restaurants, and markets in Windwardside. We did a large grocery shop when we arrived and made most of our meals at the cottage. You will need to purchase bottled water regardless, the tab water at the cottage comes from a cistern and is not potable. But water is very available on the island. Everything about the cottage is wonderful and we enjoyed the stay very much. There was a check-in issue when we arrived (cottage locked and no host on arrival) and the host was not responsive at check-out. Lack of communication from host is the only reason for the 4 star review.
