Disappointed...it's pretty gross but we did stay here the 3 days during the holiday. It needs a ton of work, wood rot, screens broke, master bath shower doesn't stay hot, mouse poop in the pull out bed, no one wants to lay in bed and hear the squirrels or mice in the rafters or siding above you. Yes, they are charging an arm and a leg to stay here but you are on the lake and for most that is a bonus. This is more of a place for young adults that want to buddy up and be on the lake for the weekend but for adults with a family look elsewhere.

The views are incredible. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

The biggest issues has were that the photos were certainly outdated and they would benefit from hiring professional cleaners between guests. The outside of the house looks quite rundown compared to the posted photos and the inside had a noticeable smell and needed a deep clean. The bathrooms seemed well kept and clean, but the kitchen appliances like the Keurig and the stove needed extra attention. The screen on the back door broke often as it was held together by tape, so we had to keep the door shut to not let bugs in. We found garbage left from the last guests on the deck. Location was beautiful with each sunrise and sunset a sight to be seen. We didn’t have children with us, but I imagine the sandbox and lake would be nice in warmer weather for a family gathering. I brought this to Bob’s attention, and he was communicative and offered solutions. Ultimately, my family decided to make the best of it purchasing candles and air fresheners and clean to our comfort level.
