We love the Word Barn! This was our third stay, and our first stay on a night without an event scheduled. It's fun to stay on an event night (polite crowd, you can relax in the apartment and hear the music, and it clears out quickly) but we also really enjoyed the quiet. As always, a very comfy and charming spot. Sarah and Ben's recommendations for food, beer, and beaches are always on point. On this trip I tried Newfields Country Store for the first time and loved it!

Since my husband and I like antiques, we loved it here! Very clean, had everything we needed and we felt right at home. Looking forward to our return trip!

Such a great setting! This place was so peaceful, quiet and had a hint of country! Downtown Exeter had such small town vibes and some great eatery’s. I’ll definitely be back!

Such a cute and cozy spot! Perfect for attending the show at the adjacent performance space. Rustic, New England charm with homey touches. Definitely not soundproof when things are going on next door but that’s to be expected. Super comfy bed and provided tea and coffee was clutch. Ben & Sarah are great communicators and very friendly.

We had a wonderful stay and thoroughly enjoyed being at Ben and Sarah's place! We chose it specfically because it was part of The Word Barn, with a musical performer that we wanted to see, on the night of our stay. It was such fun! The concert was wonderful, Ben and Sarah are amazing hosts - both to us and to concert attendees, it is an interesting and inspiring venue, and it was just so sweet and convenient to be staying right there. The place was as described, the bed was very comfortable, and everything was absolutely perfect for us. We are looking forward to returning for another concert and overnight stay!
