Our family had a wonderful getaway to LaFaye Lake. Carrie was very responsive, by communicating ahead of time and providing several documents with easy-to-follow instructions and local amenities and sights. Though we did spend most of the time at the cabin, we did a couple of short drives and hiked to some local waterfalls, which we definitely recommend! You are also not too far from restaurants, or Iron Mtn is under 30 minutes away if you happened to forget something you needed to bring. At the cabin, the deck is recently updated with stairs off the side, out the back door on the main level, that goes to another lower deck. Down the path in the backyard, you'll find a dock that allows you to jump right in the water. The water is perfect for smaller kids since it starts shallow and gradually gets deeper. It legitimately felt like we had the lake to ourselves over that weekend with how quiet it was. We're already talking about when to come next year - so you should check it out too!

Carrie is a wonderful host who is very friendly, helpful and responsive. Her cabin is a great getaway for families & friends alike. The lake is perfect for swimming & paddling fun! The cabin feels almost like a tree house with its big windows and beautiful view of the surrounding trees. We had a wonderful time at Carrie’s cabin and are looking forward to another stay!

Beautiful, peaceful location. Sandy bottom lake, shallow and wonderful for kids. So many memories made.

Great location and the lake was very quiet even around the 4th of July, which was surprising. Nice sandy swimming area and could fish off the dock.
