This is an East facing large bedroom with an attached bathroom and kitchen. There is a nice grass lawn and patio at the entrance. The room has large windows and natural lighting with a breathtaking view of Kodaikanal. We only provide breakfast for the first day only. Please cook or eat out for your stay. Please make sure that your car has a pulling power. Park at dirt road and walk up if your car doesn't climb the hill No TV and no internet. Induction stove in the Unit. This unit is on a large private property with privacy, beautiful gardens, and space to explore nature. There are small hiking trails right beyond our property boundary. We are also animal lovers and have chickens, dogs, and love birds for you to enjoy. We are located 3km from the center of town. No pets allowed with guests. Non smoking room, but you can smoke outside the room. Guest must obey all the rules of the property. Wash dishes before leaving. No loud music after 10 PM. This room is comfortable for 2 to 4 people and maximum 4 guest only. There is induction stove in the apartment unit for gas cooking you must pay 600 Rupees. Firewood for campfire is 700 Rupees. Driver room available for additional cost.

I genuinely think this is the best place to stay in Kodai. It’s both peaceful and close to town, on a mountain top amid beautiful gardens. Shashi and her family have lived on this estate for decades and it has the feeling of a stately home. There are 9 separate buildings on the property, occupied by interesting characters, travellers and friends. It’s a charming spot, with charming dogs, and groundskeeper Teresa who is always around with a kind smile, and an offer of lunch or dinner if you pre-order. I will definitely be returning. I stayed here for a week. The place is as described and the pictures are accurate. The whole property is amazing and located almost at the hilltop. The town or good restaurants are a 5-7-10 minute drive away depending on the situation. I felt good to stay here. It was peaceful. A lot of greenery around. The room is spacious too. It can accommodate 2 people very conveniently. Perfect for anyone looking for slow travel or long stays. Caretakers Theressa & Peter were very helpful whenever needed. The pet dogs are very friendly and nice. But, if you are someone who gets disturbed by dogs barking at night suddenly right outside your door, then it might be slightly challenging to sleep or fall asleep. It happened to me on a few nights. Other than that this place was amazing beyond doubt to be at.
The stay is located at a beautiful hilltop with a nice view of the Kodaikanal town. The description provided in the listing matches the stay perfectly. The dogs on the property are always happy to accompany guests on walks. The host is very responsive and prompt and replies very quickly. Good stay overall
We had a great stay, very lovely place. There are a lot of dogs that are good natured. Theresa, the caretaker is very hospitable and helpful. The views are simply amazing! Clean place. Would definitely come back here!

We are located 3km from the town. We provide guests with a number of reliable taxi driver. Our place is also accessible with your own car or motorbike. If you can walk on steep hills, we are also accessible by foot. We also offer a motorbike for rent on an hourly rate.

Our family has been in Kodai for over 20 years and this is our permanent home. We travel frequently and may not be around during your visit, but we have wonderful staff to take care of your needs. We also have 4 friendly dogs. We prefer guests who are looking for a quiet getaway.
