A lovely, rustic and peaceful few days with great views! Lucinda was friendly and helpful throughout. The small hamlet location is ideal for hiking, cycling (if you are fit!) motorcycling and driving days out. A lovely characterful accommodation, taking breakfast and dinner outside, in a tranquil setting. Low doorways throughout :) Friendly dogs. Would love to return!

This place is really special, a real home from home, we didn't want to leave. The surroundings are beautiful, with oranges, pomegranates, lemons and olives in the valley below, that's still farmed by locals in the village. The house is very loved, and has loads of books, dvds and a smart tv if you get bored. Everything works as it should. Sure, as one review stated there are a few dogs, it's a village and to be expected, but they're all really people friendly and you may have to walk past a few people on the odd occasion to get to the house, but again, it's a village and the few people you may see are quiet, friendly and respecting of privacy if you want to just pass by. The hosts are real stars and went out their way to be kind and helpful. The front patio of the house, is for your use only and is completely private and peaceful, with a day dream inspiring view. It's over all a very healing, peaceful place. Thanks Lucinda and Paul, you and Las Canteras will be in our hearts forever.

This was one of the best AirBnB experiences we've ever had. We were two (the house can accommodate at least three more), there for a quiet NYE time. The area is beautiful, perfectly secluded for the calmness and also near enough to towns (fresh produce markets!) and hiking trails. A car is needed to move around. Lucinda and Paul were fantastic hosts. They welcomed us with kindness knowing we'd arrive late and hungry, were always at reach for questions and also happy to share conversation (they live next door). The house has everything one can need for a comfortable stay, and the kitchen is a dream (aesthetically and functionally). The heating is with a wood stove, which was more than enough. The house feels like a passion project: the details, colors, thought-through furniture, overall feeling. The views are stunning - this is a perfect place to relax, cook, read a book, hike. We highly recommend and we would come back.

Lucinda’s place is extremely special—it’s in a very isolated village, & was perfect for me to have space to myself to work on a major project. I was there by myself but the house has plenty of space for more guests. The WiFi was strong enough for zoom meetings, wood stove was cozy, and most things you need available in a larger village 15 min drive away. I hope to return soon!
