Great location within zona 10. Quiet at night makes for a good nights sleep. Walking distance to the Oakland mall, supermarket la torre, and Fontabella plaza. Lucia was a nice host, and her communication was great. Would recommend for anyone wanting to stay in zona 10.

So rare in life is one handed such an unexpected slice of paradise that when you are tasked with describing it you simply are at a loss of where to begin. The colors and artwork consume your visual perception upon arrival. There is at once a balanced beauty and a dazzling array of details that quietly beg attention. Trying to give it all its due I had to apologize to the hostess when I realized she was talking to me…I was unable to speak, listen even, as I felt I had entered a wonderland few would ever see. But her kind patience allowed me to get to the next part of this paradise. The most authentic Alba-Lu. As the saying goes, to get to know her is to love her. Mi casa es su casa was never more authenticated as she showed me around, the super well equipped kitchen…pots, pans, yes nice sharp knives, a spice rack so full you can dream up dishes for weeks. Onions, garlic, potatoes & just more & more… And then. The garden. At least a hundred edible plants, herbs & fruit trees. And the immediate welcoming vibe that all of this was yours to enjoy and partake of as you saw fit. My inner chef was inspired to say the least. The day of my arrival I had awoken at 3am. By the time I got there I was pretty tired. Then reawoken as I was dazzled by the beauty, then crashed until late morning. Only to get up to a delicious meal being served to which I was invited. I thought…what more do you want in life…? A traditional Mayan, wood burning temascal you might be thinking…? Well yes, the garden has that too. 3 times during my stay I enjoyed it… Visitors & personal friends arrived here and there…sometimes a child…and always there was food. Finally I had to make a reciprocal meal and I just knew, make it big, there will be people…it was a celebration. Just like getting to know Alba-Lu, a deeply kind, generous and loving being. Wow. I was genuinely sad to leave to catch my flight… Only to find out I couldn’t board and had to stay 3 more days & buy a new ticket and take a new COVID test. All to my utter joy…

Beyond perfect is Alba's house, whether you are a traveler or resident looking for a staycation, as I am both. This has been my best experience by far. It is a surreal, storybook fantasy home in the middle of the city. I cannot thank Alba enough and I definitely hope to return. Number 1 on my list!
