The view is worth the minor inconveniences we had. Like other reviews stated, it was HOT inside the space. When we arrived all windows were open this the extremely hot and humid house. The air in the bedroom was good but noisy. A fan is on site in the livingroom. It definitely looked as it was given a very light cleaning, the glass doors to the bedroom and bathroom were fairly dirty as well as the microwave and fridge doors. We didn't encounter mosquitoes thankfully but we were all bitten by ants while sleeping, at least I think it was the ants as they were abundant. The stove runs on a propane tank which definitely needs to have directions for ppl whom haven't used that for indoor cooking. The futon couch is definitely not doable for an adult or even a teen, small and very uncomfortable. I would not suggest for more than two ppl to stay here. The yard needed cleaning, garbage and horse poop. The view was the only pro to me. Next time I'll book a different spot. Truthful review

Generally a great place to stay, clean, modern interior and great view of the bay, check in is a little frustrating with unclear instructions, also there is no hair dryer, need to bring your own

We absolutely loved our stay at this apartment! The location was fantastic, offering stunning views that were truly a highlight. Communicating with the host was a breeze; Jose was very responsive and made everything easy for us. The nearby beaches were beautiful and a major plus. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a scenic and relaxing getaway.

This is our third time staying at Jose’s, and we plan on coming back for a fourth! It’s rare to find an accommodation on the Esperanza side of the island that’s literally on the water’s edge, so Jose’s place with a large private balcony/patio overlooking the Caribbean is special. It’s a five minute walk to the beach & restaurants on the Malecòn, and a five minute drive to Sunbay beach. The place is set back from the road, so even though it’s close to town you feel completely removed from the tourist action, which makes it peaceful. The apartment is clean, easy to access, and Jose is highly communicative! For us, it was the perfect respite to hang out on the shady part of the patio midday when the sun is too hot, and then again in the evening, on the part of the patio open to the sky, listening to the waves and stargazing…truly paradise.
