Alvaro is fantastic! He's so nice and helpful. Plus he is so cool! I have loved my stay here in his place! I cannot agree with some of the not so nice reviews. Alvaro is very communicative. It only takes a question to get him to share his special world of art and antiques. He is a wonderful Tico to get to know, and he wants to hear your stories, as well. Most importantly to me is that he has been incredibly kind to me and my dog. He could see that she is well-trained and 'tranquila'. His cat, Peachy, has gotten to know my pup and Peachy is okay with sharing this space with a pup. My room is very clean and warm and comfortable. His home is a hodge-podge of art, antiques, and a unique view into his world of creativity. I highly recommend his place and his work as a graphic artist. Bravo Alvaro! Thank you so much for your kindness and for an incredible stay!

I had a perfect time here! The owner of this house is really nice! He made me coffee and we talked about different things. If I ever return to Costa Rica, I will stay in this house again! Thank you Alvaro for a great time! See you again!
