We had a great time at Angelika's place. The house was tidy, cosy and she even left some sweets and Glühwein. The house was warm and the fireplace on when we arrived. Only thing is that it is not self check-in. We would like to visit again!

Angelika’s house is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy. It has the feel of history but at the same time all the modern things you would want in a house. Both Angelika and Luka are very pleasant in their communication, they will help you with anything.

It's an absolutely loving place. Located in an old vineyard, the house was used to store barrels, thus its three floors are small, connected via relatively steep stairs/ladders, but super cozy. Make no mistake: everything has a high standard, be it the terrace, balkony, oven, appliances, bathroom, furniture, beds etc. Everything was amazingly clean, the check-in was great, we had nothing to complain about, apart from the a/c not working, so it got rather hot at times – would have been a problem if we went in summer I bet. The only two things I would point out as somewhat negative is that a) the house is not exactly remote, but located very near to a rather loud highway. Don't expect total quietness but rather passing cars blended with sounds of a forest. Also, the "Terme Tuhejli" is almost exactly opposite of the house resulting in typical open-air bath noises. Especially at the weekends this was a downside when trying to relax. We got used to it eventually, but it is something we disliked very much, especially since the house itself is so nice. Second thing that's noteworthy is that the garden being an old vineyard is rather steep and nothing suitable for smaller children or – in our case – a dog that's not made to run or walk downhill the whole day. This is nothing you see on the pictures in detail but need to keep in mind, if you want to go with your pet pal. You need to carry him all the time and can't let him explore the garden on his own. Also, we saw some stray dogs here and there so you need to keep an eye out for that. Apart from that it was a great experience. You drive 2 hours in any direction and you arrive either at the ocean, in the alps or in Hungary, we had local products dropped off at our front door frequently, had the best cleaning service in the world and Angelika respectively our host Amir were avaiable any given time. Doesn't get any better than this. Concerning Zagorje it is worth a visit but don't expect anything spectecular, it's not an alpine region but a peaceful, hilly part of Croatia which invites you to hike, visit castles and explore on your own. I took my mountainbike with me, however I encountered so many aggressive dogs that I decided it's probably not a good idea to explore the sorroundings on a bike by yourself. ;) The bottom line: If you want a nice place to get away from it all, with loving hosts, great amenities, are willing to drive around in Croatia and can live with a rather steep garden and much time to relax, go visit Holiday Home Emotion. You'll get used to the noises and have the chance to visit some of the best parts of Croatia in no more than two hours. Speaking for ourselves we'll probably not come back soon, but that's only due to the fact the we feel that there are more spectacular regions to visit (Triglav in Slovenia for example) that suit our needs more.
