House is nice, quiet and was a quick walk from town. The backyard is peaceful and my son loved the creek. We enjoyed our time at the cabin. But I did want to mention that the house does not have central heat or air conditioning. They did a good job of making sure each bedroom/living room have air conditioning units. But for heat you have one heater in the main living room and a heater in one bedroom. The bunk bedroom has a space heater inside. We couldn’t get it to turn on. Smoke detectors in this house are far between and are only located outside of the bedroom doors instead of both inside and outside the doors. The fireplace helps keep the house warm when it’s on but as soon as you cut it off the hose beings getting cold again. This was challenging while staying at the house and two of the nights being very cold for toddler and ourselves. Overall we would stay here again in the summer but would probably find other accommodations for the winter.

This is the most wonderful cabin EVER! Beautiful inside & out. Loved all the bear decor & beautiful flowered shrubbery on the deck! Decorated so nice & the deck is amazing with the tranquil creek running underneath it! We could easily walk to town for shopping & eating. The cabin is very well stocked for cooking if you wish. Plenty of towels & wash cloths but washer & dryer if needed. Very private but still close enough to walk everywhere in Helen. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting by the fire pit each night & listening to the creek. Very clean when we arrived & had starter essentials, i.e., paper towels, toilet paper & even coffee. Anything extra you need can be purchased at a store within walking distance called Betty’s country store. My sister’s favorite thing was the gas fireplace in the living room. Very nice in the mornings when you get up. We enjoyed the cabin so much that we are definitely coming back next year!
