What a great view and beautiful home. Everything was in order and presented as described. We enjoyed the pool and outdoor areas. Good location. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking dinner. Bedrooms are clean and spacious.

The pictures don’t do this place justice. The views are the best in the valley, way better than places closer to the water. This place easily fit two families, 4 adults and 4 kids. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a few meals. We didn’t use the grill outside but saw there was charcoal in case we had wanted to. The pool is shared with a small condo but we never used it at the same time. The grocery stores seem far but it’s really not that bad, maybe 15 minute drive. Maybe pick up stuff on your way into town. Restaurants are at minimum 10 minutes drive as well. You won’t want to leave the patio. The view was incredible. There is a big table that can sit 8 and two comfy chairs and a big chair. Go to the nearby winery Quinta de Tourais. We have tried wine all over the world and they had some incredibly unique wines and a cool story. Plus it seemed to be the closest winery by far. The owner was very responsive. Definitely will come back to stay.

This place is magical!!!! What a great experience. The view of the Douro river from the house is breathtaking. I fall in love with this house. The house is clean and the kitchen is well supplied. It has everything you need to cook a full meal. Carlos and Rute are great hosts. Can’t wait to visit again. Totally recommend it!!!

Quinta do Pombal is a fantastic place with spectacular views of the Douro Valley and river. The house is superb with four large bedrooms, large pool, patio with table for outdoor meals with amazing views. It's very private and peaceful interestingly right next to a church. Rute was immediately responsive via calls or texts. The roads are hilly and windy. Beware not to use GPS to find the house but rather use the maps location which Rute or Carlos Manuel will send with check in instructions. We are already plotting our next return trip.
