自我介绍

My wife is from Costa Rica and I am from Germany. I have been traveling for seven years, being accompanied by my wife for the last two ones. We are blessed with this house and a croft, that has been in my family since the 70's, to run an AirBnB and work the land. Both steadily growing in self-sustainability. Already as a child my wife Alexa did learn from her grandparents and other healers about plant medicines, studied as a conventional and holistic nurse, specialized on massage therapies and worked for over ten years in a Costa Rican Eco Lodge and healing center. Her passion is cooking vegetarian and vegan dishes. Before I started traveling I studied Biology and worked as a Research Scientist in the pharma industry. My travels changed my way of living completely, working with Argentinian Gauchos driving horses, guiding divers in Sumatra as a Dive Master, living with indigenous tribes in Peru, Ecuador and Colombia - and most influential - living in a Zen Buddhist monastery for half a year. I am totally stoked about working the land and taking care of the house, increasing the yield through permacultural techniques and improving the efficiency of our energy management. During our travels we found out that the most valuable aspect when staying at a place was the feeling of being at home and at ease, not needing to change the way we are in order to please the hosts. That is what we want to offer to our guests; the space to feel at home, like staying with some well known friends, minding your own business and having your privacy or enjoying a joyful conversation at dinner or breakfast together. We want to make clear that this is a rural croft and what we offer can be different than other properties. We actively work the land, focusing on agriculture and farming; we love nature and animals and we run our place according to the ideas of permaculture and regenerative community. Coming here to our lively home you can expect a vibrant community vibe, with a family of volunteers and always animals in and around the house, rather than a spotless 5 star accommodation.
