Want to know who you’re staying with? We get it. We’d like to think “Strangers are just friends you haven’t met yet” We embrace and celebrate diversity and strive to provide a welcoming & comfortable environment for all of our guests. Scott joined the Navy after graduating high school. Following his honorable discharge, he was employed by The State of Michigan for 30+ years before he retired in 2017. Two months after our first date, Scott began what he refers to as his “work journey” which would fast track him to retirement. Equipped with a strong work ethic, tenacity and grit Scott took on a grueling schedule of 16+ hour shifts with very limited “days off”. Sacrifice of sleep and time contributed to crushing his originally anticipated 3 year goal in 2! I duel enrolled in community college at age 16. In addition to a max course load, high school classes, and selling Cutco knives, I remained actively involved in studying and teaching dance. High school graduation arrived in June and by August I completed my ABS from Delta. Higher income potential lured me from my Mid-Michigan roots to Grand Rapids where I would purchase my first home at age 19, and continue my education while working as an inside sales agent. I returned home in 05' to complete my BBA at Northwood University in 06’. I enjoyed a 10+ year career with Verizon wireless which concluded shortly after we were married in 18’. I’ll be forever grateful for the people brought into my life via that vessel, which includes Scott! ;) Scott and I are a dynamic duo who share complementary strengths and shortcomings. His motto is be “firm yet fair” which balances my “warm and generous” nature. I primarily handle the communication, photography and managing the AirBnB platform. Scott and I team up on cleaning, décor & brainstorming. His enthusiasm for the outdoors provides the deer mounts complimenting my rustic country farmhouse style. Scott was part of the building process of this home and has resided here for over two decades. He takes great pride in maintaining and improving the homestead. We launched our first listing in Oct 18’ with pretty low expectations. November brought our first guest and by December we added a listing due to demand! We have evolved SIGNIFANTLY thanks to all of our amazing guests who have graced our presence! What started as an adventure has now become a passion! We’re truly honored and look forward to being your home away from home!
