Its a little difficult to rate places that are this great without sounding like a fake review, but basically this place was truly awesome, and run by lovely people. We arrived very late at night owing to a delayed train and they waited up to let us in and explain things to us. The boat is super cool, comfortable and even though the water temperature was 11, my wife still braved a swim one morning (The boat is next to a swimming area). Entrance in and out is via a hatch with a steep staircase which may not be easy for older guests but which was part of the charm for us! Location is fab, a short bus ride to the centre, but we were here for a conference and it was walking distance. Price was very good value for Amsterdam (bearing in mind it is an expensive city). All in all I hope that this is free next time we come as we would love to stay here again! Thank you!
We really enjoyed staying in the houseboat. It's in a very peaceful and quiet part of town, well away from the hustle and bustle, but still relatively walkable to the city center. Sander was incredibly helpful and responsive. He and Marieke made us feel very welcome.

Marieke and Sander are lovely hosts, caring a lot about their guests. We had a chat group to facilitate communication and response rates were great. Upon arrival we've been shown around the entire boat and brought to our apartment at the bow. The apartment is well equipped and nicely decorated, we even had a bunch of tulips on the table. We had one problem and Marieke and Sander immediately cared for a solution. Marieke and Sander were open to feedback for things that were not properly working and did the best to either fix them right away or trying to find another solution. We definitely recommend this place and surely consider coming back.

It is a pleasure inviting you on our Coaster Mado. Living on a boat gives us a holiday feeling year round, which we would like to share with you.
