It does not get any better than this! Old Town Suites is an oasis of beauty and tranquility in the heart of Quito’s historic district. I spent a month here and never wanted to leave. Everything was just exactly perfect. The staff worked with us on anything we needed and were literally available 24 hours a day right outside our door. We wanted a toaster oven, one promptly appeared. We needed a scale to weigh luggage, one was found for us. Laundry? $1.50 a pound, returned folded later that day. Internet was flawless. Cleaning people came every third day. It was bloody heaven. I literally shed tears when I left.

The place we stayed before here (remote tiny house on the north side of Cotopaxi park) we thought couldn't be beat. And I don't think it's a question of one being better than the other, but the two places complemented each other to create what we feel is one of the most memorable trips we've ever been on. First, I think this is probably the cleanest place we have ever stayed. Hats off to the cleaning lady (I didn't get her name but she was incredible - even found a pair of pants we were air drying and just grabbed them and took care of them for us). Second, the attention to every single detail in this place is second to none. Every little hook to hang things on, every piece of art, the custom toiletries - just so well-thought out and well-designed. All the reclaimed materials are perfectly finished to create what I feel has got to be the most elite stay in all of Quito. Last, the hospitality from Dirk (we didn't get to meet Bolivar) was on some other level. Always greeting us as we came and went, always having great recommendations and just pleasant conversation. Dirk is really in his element here - best host ever, seriously. If we ever wind up in Quito again whether it be on our way somewhere else or to visit Quito again, there is no question that we will stay here - and if it's booked, we'll change our dates to make it work.

We cannot say enough great things. As all other reviewers say, Dirk’s hospitality is above and beyond. We had a package shipped to Ecuador (don’t do it!) and Dirk was happy to assist. The space itself is beautiful. We spent a month here, working remotely, and the wifi was strong for our calls and videos. The apartment is really clean bc of weekly cleaning. We were on the first floor with floor to ceiling windows, and while we were there Dirk applied window tints to the glass so we had more privacy. A decent amount is closed in Quito due to covid, but there are a couple of great restaurants just nearby. All in all an amazing month! Thank you Dirk

All I can say is one word: Perfecto!! Perfect place, Perfect location, Perfect experience, and Perfect hosts. Stop right now ... no need to look any further. Perfection awaits at Old Town Quito Suites!!
