Was fine. Not lake front. Neighbors are close. Spacious.
Upon arriving for our 3rd generation extended Memorial Day weekend, the 12 of us were greeted by a handwritten note stating the refrigerator did not work snd to use the one in the basement behind the bar in the laundry room. while hauling our items into the house we notice cobwebs, dirt and dust everywhere. The main bathroom had an old stained floor mat and urine on the toilet seat. when preparing for dinner we found a squirrels nest in the BBQ. The patio furniture was filled with bird poop and we were not able to sit on the deck. In the evening, we noticed the bedsheets had chips, hair , and stains all over. By this point in our stay, we were certain the home had never been cleaned or prepared since the last visitors. That had wrapped up our first day at the home.The host also failed to mention the beach community only allows 8 wrist bands rather than the 12 that we needed to go onto the water. After contacting the host about this, he eventually stopped answering our calls. :)
Beautiful home, answered my text messages almost right away when I had a question. Highly recommend staying at this beautiful house.
Milind was a great host. Very responsive and the house was great. We all felt right at home. I would definitely like to rent the house again in the future
The house is beautiful, and gives a great lodge feel- exactly what we were looking for in a January Poconos trip. However, this house is listed as a 5 bedroom house- IT IS NOT. It is a 4 bedroom house with a "nook" in the basement that has a sliding door and a pull out couch. We had 5 adult families going on our trip for a 75th birthday and specifically messaged Milind regarding the room situation. He assured us there were 5 rooms and a loft area. Again, there are not 5 bedrooms. This led to a lot of tension and distress about who had to sleep on a pull out couch all weekend while still paying for a full share. (If the picture is still posted, it is the "room" with the black leather couch and TV that was the 5th bedroom). So we definitely felt the house was misrepresented to us. Also, the kitchen is missing some basic cookware (baking sheet, colander, bread knives, decent pans) so if you plan on cooking meals make sure to bring your own supplies.
