Acuario Resort represents everthing that is good about Palawan. It is run by a young scrappy entrepreneur whose capacity to network with local transport and food sources means that his guests every reasonable wish can be fulfilled. In our case we the freshest fished and vegetables served. Their cook/chef Jomari is a genius. All our meals were spectacular! Through Elto's contact with the tour boat KC Express we had Twin Reefs, New Poray Reef and Boayan Reef all to ourselves for hours. These reefs surpass by a mile those in El Nido, Coron and Camiguin! We will visit again. We know that Acuario is almost always fully booked. Perhaps by then Acuario will have expanded.

This was the perfect stay! Leno and everyone we’re so helpful and accommodating. Leno took us to a private island to watch the sunset and also took us to a private beach. The food was delicious and service was amazing. They have been super helpful with all our request and went out of their way to ensure we had the best time 24/7 . An amazing time in San Vicente and a great transport to El Nido.

This is my first time in San Vicente Palawan and i have had plans to go to El Nido but i enjoyed Elto’s place that much and their hospitality, his mom, sister and all the staff are so kind and so i stayed there for the whole nine nights. It was like i have found a family and friends too. Waking up each day at the beachfront at the Acuario was like a dream come true. The place is so serene and yet have so much to offer, i had the very rare chance to get fresh dishes each day in my life but here in there place that is literally from sea to table, there are fresh coconut (buko) anytime i wanted that is courtesy of Ernie the ever helpful man in the entire Acuario, i have had very delicious meals cooked by very able, friendly and courteous Chef Lino, everything was served with passion and hospitality. I requested dishes not in the menu and are so good and the servings are more than enough for me. Chef Lino made my meals really tasty each time, he has his magical way of preparing the food, i wonder how he’d do it but, it looks so easy to do but believe me the taste is very much promising! I had birthday dinner with Elto, his staff, his mom and some guests and it feels like i have my family with me, we enjoyed grilling the corn and some fish. The stay in that place was unexpectedly fabulous. I had the nice time throughout. The fishermen the island tour guides and the neighbourhood are very friendly as well, they make you feel so welcomed. I found out that the entire place is packed with lovely kids, they greet me each time and are all so happy to converse. I am jealous with the people in Palawan as they are all blessed with very abundant place, they can catch fish at the very clean sea, prepare their food and eat them fresh all day. They have a lot of coconut and that would make the dishes a lot more savoury other than just drinking the coco juice and eating the coco freshly. What I envy the most? They all breathe the very freshest air and it is entirely free. Island hopping is one of the best things i had. At the tour we are a total of four only at that time, three of us are from Acuario beach in while the other was a joiner from the other resort. He is like me, a solo traveler and yet he sounds and looked so happy even going solo! The perks of being solo? You will not be afraid to say hi at anyone because you know you are on your own and you don’t want to talk by yourself at all times! This nice guy from PUP Manila had a coffee treat for all of us before going to Bigaho waterfalls. Seeing several islands nearby was a great experience, my heart leaped when the sea turtles swim with my friend as if they found a friend from each other. The twin reef was such a big surprise, you would hear from the locals that they looked very much alike with your aquarium at home if you have one but in real life it is so much more, you would see fishes you didn’t know existed and the corals were so alive, that was an impressive sight and experience to swim at the beautiful reef. It was an amazing time to see the Bigaho falls as well, i thought it was scary at first since we got there a little before dusk yet we were greeted with two friendly dogs who acted to be real friends, they voluntarily walk with us up to the waterfalls and back. Oh let me not forget the land tour with my new found Nanay Melina aka Lina at the nearby beaches towards the famous peak “Bato ni Ningning” the views are spectacular i loved that experience even though i have fear of heights, you should try it i assure you that you would love it too, just find the time to go there during dry season as the road there is still awaiting to be paved. My new found friends Jerryton and Makmak were our tour guides, drivers and photographers, they made our tour very safe and full of laughter. This was not supposed to be my pick because i don’t want to ride bike without helmet but the locals are very aware that they are responsible for everyone’s life and they always consider your choice of speed anyhow. I have so many good memories here and i wanted to come back anytime soon. It was all worth it!

Elto’s Acuario Beach Resort in Panindigan, San Vicente, Palawan is off the beaten path about 3km from the town center of San Vicente. This little resort offer a beachside experience for a very low costs. WiFi was good, but don’t expect much as power was limited and Aircon non-existent. Much easier to fly in or boat in, but the RoRo from Roxas, Palawan only cost P80 for a 80km ride and only took about two hours for those of you on a budget. VHires to and from El Nido or Puerto Princess’s are only P400-P500! Get a motorbike rental there is so much to explore in this region. Lots of beaches, or hire a boat and guide and enjoy a water excursion.

Elto's place is wonderful. People who look for a lovely spot of the track, will be very happy to stay with Elto and his stuff. Everything we wanted was there. We are glad, that we spent the first 2 days of our trip there. Tipp: Get a moto :)
