Silver Lining Haven is a classic, newly remodeled 1966 Streamline trailer. She's super comfy with a fun bohemian vibe, and nestled in a pretty patch of desert. A ten minute walk brings you to Playa Los Cerritos, the best swimming beach with the most consistent surf around. While close enough to walk to restaurants, bars, surf, the property feels remote. Catch sunset from the deck, stargaze at night, and wake to the sounds of birds and waves crashing. The front door leads you to a large wooden deck overlooking a cactus-filled yard with a sweet lounging and dining area for taking in the sunset. There is a full but compact kitchen with fridge/freezer, stove, sink, purified drinking water, and all the cooking supplies. You’ll find a bluetooth speaker, yoga mat, and a shared fire pit with wood to burn. There are foam surfboards, boogie boards, and beach umbrellas available for guest use. The bed is a cozy queen sized mattress with 100% cotton sheets. The built-in couch can also be used as a small single bed with a comfortable foam mattress, both have cozy comforters to snuggle into. There is an additional hot/cold outdoor shower to wash off after a day at the beach. There are multiple portable fans and there is no air conditioning. However many people do not realize that it is chilly here at night from Dec-July. We are completely off-grid, run on solar and propane, and are very ecologically minded, however we have more than enough power and water for all of our needs. When we have cloudy days we may need to run the generator for a couple hours during the day to top up the batteries. This area is for people who want to get away from the city and have an adventure in the desert, to play and surf in the pristine waters of the Pacific, to relax in a small town immersed in art and culture. We are in Los Cerritos, a beach neighborhood 8 miles south of Todos Santos (15 min by car). Todos Santos is a charming, vibrant, artist village, with great restaurants, shops, galleries, and cultural events. Cerritos Beach is the main beach in the area for swimming, playing, and for consistent surf. The beach has a very welcoming vibe, with families playing in the water, people of all ages taking surf lessons, and folks enjoying tacos and margaritas at a couple waterfront restaurants. In the winter you can’t look at the water without seeing a whale blow. The other beaches in Todos Santos are beautiful for sunsets, but are unswimmable due to steep shorelines and large waves...so Cerritos is the place to enjoy a beach vacation. Our little neighborhood has several great restaurants and bars with occasional live music as well as options for hiking, yoga, surf lessons, and massage... All within 10 min walking distance. Within 5-10 min drive you’ll find grocery stores, spas, coffee shops, an organic market and bakery. Important Note- This accommodation is best enjoyed with a car. The closest that public transportation comes to this property is 1 mile away. You are welcome to stay here if you don’t have a car, just be prepared to walk from the highway or take a taxi from Todos Santos (300 pesos). There is no uber here. There are some great restaurants within walking distance but stores and more complete dining options are a short drive away. And you’ll want to explore all that this area has to offer! Also there is construction in the neighborhood, so there will likely be some noise during the day. Todos Santos/Pescadero is the fastest growing area in Mexico (because it's amazing!) so you'd be hard pressed to rent anywhere that doesn't have construction nearby. Please note that airbnb now automatically charges the additional 16% sales tax and 3% hospitality tax that the Mexican government requires (same as when you stay at hotels).
