A traditional Welsh stone cottage, Bluebell Cottage is situated in a quiet village and is within walking distance of the popular sandy beach at West Angle Bay. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind, and a great base from which to explore the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. With numerous stunning sandy beaches nearby, historic castles in abundance and a variety of family attractions locally there is something for everyone all year round. PLEASE NOTE THAT DURING PEAK TIMES WE HAVE A 1 WEEK MINIMUM STAY WITH A SATURDAY CHANGEOVER. IT MAY LOOK AS IF IT IS BOOKED ON THE AVAILABILITY CALENDAR BUT PLEASE CLICK ON A SATURDAY AND IT WILL CONFIRM THE AVAILABILITY. The living room features a log burning stove, Smart TV & DVD player and fast Wifi. The modern kitchen has all the amenities you would expect and there is a utility area suitable for drying walking boots and wet weather gear. The bathroom is on the ground floor and includes a bath as well as a separate shower. There is one spacious double bedroom on the ground floor while the original Victorian staircase leads to the light and airy bedrooms on the first floor with their lovely wooden floorboards. Upstairs there is one double bedroom, one twin room and one single room. 200-400 thread count 100% cotton bed linen is provided as well as a 100% cotton bath sheet for each guest. Please bring beach towels with you. The enclosed rear lawned garden with a patio, mature shrubs and fruit trees is a lovely spot in which to enjoy an alfresco meal on a summer's evening. A BBQ will be available for guests to use during the summer months. Please provide your own charcoal. We are well-equipped for children, with a high chair, travel cot (please bring your own cot sheets) and a stair gate at the top of the stairs. The garden is gated but children and dogs must be supervised in the garden at all times. The cottage is very quiet and private. Parking is on-street outside the front of the property and we are happy to accommodate one well-behaved dog. The local pub, The Hibernia Inn, is a few minute's walk away in the heart of the village and serves good food. Wavecrest Cafe at West Angle Bay serves great lunches, coffee, cake, drinks and ice cream from mid-Feb until October and the award-winning Cafe Mor at Freshwater West provides amazing burgers, crab and lobster rolls to eat on the beach during the summer months. The sandy beach at West Angle Bay is popular with families and is just a 10 minute walk from the cottage or a 2 minute drive, and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path offers wonderful walks and stunning views. The Chapel Bay Fort Museum is open from Easter and is a 15 minute walk from the cottage. There are a number of other beautiful beaches to choose from nearby, including Barafundle, Broadhaven South, Freshwater East and Freshwater West (famous for its surf). A visit to Broad Haven South beach taking in the walk round the lily ponds at Bosherton should not be missed, likewise the headland walk to Barafundle Bay - one of our favourite spots. The coastal town of Tenby is a 25 minute drive from the cottage and there are numerous local attractions, including Bluestone, Oakwood, Folly Farm, Manor Wildlife Park, Carew Castle, Pembroke Castle and Manorbier Castle. Sadly there is no longer a village shop, therefore we recommend you bring some supplies with you as the nearest shop is 15 minutes away. Tesco will deliver to the cottage (please ask us for detailed directions to provide to delivery driver), otherwise there is a small Co-op in Pembroke and larger supermarkets in Pembroke Dock. Unfortunately we are unable to provide you with any basic food or drink items. The cottage is an ideal holiday home for families, small groups of friends and couples alike and the location provides something for everyone all year round. It is in an excellent position to enjoy walking the Wales Coast Path. Please note that whilst the cottage can sleep 7 it is most comfortable for 6. Having the extra single bedroom allows a bit more flexibility with sleeping arrangements. We accept a maximum of 6 adults.
Overall, our stay was lovely. We are frequent visitors of Angle, usually in our campervan, so staying in this cottage was luxurious! Arrival was easy, parking outside and the key-box entry was a breeze. The cottage was exactly as pictured - beautiful flooring, charming cottage feel. We only used the bedroom downstairs, but that was spotlessly clean, the bed super comfortable and bedding very soft and welcoming. We had a browse at the rooms upstairs and they all seemed in the same condition. The living room was cosy and the log burner worked great - the TV was a bit temperamental and flashed continuously along the bottom quarter. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need, however this is where the need to drop a star comes in - the kitchen wasn't clean to a standard we'd expect. The worktops needed a wipe over and there was left over crumbs and crumbled cereal in the cupboards. Not the end of the world but not what you want either! Overall a fab stay!
We only stayed two nights but it was really relaxing! Feb in Pembrokeshire was going to be cold and damp but the house was warm and very comfortable: we’re a family of six and we felt there was plenty of space to be together and apart to do our own thing. Comfy beds and everything we needed it to be as a home from home without having to bring it all with us! A lovely, EASY getaway…thank you for making it so, Joanna!
The charming village of Angle lies in a sheltered valley located between East Angle Bay on the Milford Haven Waterway and the sandy West Angle Bay at the entrance to the Waterway. Angle was designated as a conservation area by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park in 1995.
The sandy beach at West Angle Bay is perfect for children and the coastal path offers some spectacular scenery. East Angle Bay is more sheltered and is popular with boat owners and bird watchers.
Angle is the perfect base from which to explore Pembrokeshire.
The Coastal Cruiser bus, number 387, serves Angle. However, it is advisable to come by car to really be able to explore the area.

We are a family with 2 young children. We fell in love with Angle the first time we visited and can't believe our luck at having found the perfect traditional cottage in which to spend our holidays and to share with others. We are at our happiest on West Angle Bay beach on a sunny day with a delicious coffee from Wavecrest cafe in hand (ice cream for the kids!). We live just outside Bath but are available on the telephone should guests need assistance during their stay.
