Javier's place is a home from home, a calm residential area, clean, practical, there is everything you need there, great base, we hired a car and explored the whole island.

Het appartement van Javier voldoet precies aan de omschrijving van de site. Het aardige van Las Lajas is dat het een authentiek dorpje is. De vissersbootjes hebben inmiddels plaatsgemaakt voor catamarans en surfplanken, wat meer voldoet aan de eisen van deze tijd. Vanaf het appartement van Javier is het nog geen 200 meter lopen naar de prachtige baai. Dus als ik een boek of iets anders was vergeten, liep ik rustig nog even terug. Ik was er in januari. De temperatuur van de oceaan was ca 19 C, zodat ik bijna alle dagen kon zwemmen. En heerlijk wandelen of fietsen over de bike-route langs prachtige kust van de oceaan. Als ik volgend jaar weer op wintervakantie naar de zon mag gaan, zal ik zeker overwegen om hier weer naar toe te gaan.

I stayed in this apartment for 4 weeks. The apartment was very homely with everything needed for a long term stay and it was clean. The host was responsive and flexible with check-in time. The location of the apartment was great - it is very close to the blue flag beach that at least in December was very empty. Also the central town of the island, Puerto del Rosario, is very close. I only had my bike with me, no car, and by combining the bike with the buses I was able to explore the island. What I didn't like was the noise - I could pretty much constantly hear the upstairs neighbour all through the day and sometimes during the night. It wasn't very loud but I found it annoying. All of the windows face the road that passes just by the house, as well as the nearby highway and another highway that was being built with heavy machinery, all of which was noisy. Also, the internet was slow. All in all a nice holiday rental and good value for money.

Javier was the finest host! He welcomed us in a very kind attitude and he helped us with all the questions we had. The house was pretty clean and very nice.

Luis' place is in a cute little town by the sea, close to Puerto Rosario and the airport. Cotillo and Corralejo are also really close by car. So basically you are close to everything but you get a lot of peace and quiet. The place itself has all the amenities you need for comfortable stay, there is lots of space. Luis is also very responsive. We definitely recommend it.
