This is a beautiful, historic retreat nestled on a dirt road in the foot of the mountains. It was peaceful and quiet. We loved sitting on the back deck at night and listening to the cows moo. We can't wait for the addition of the full bathroom and kitchen!FYI: Our Maps app took us past the property- look for the mailbox with the address on it to find the driveway.
Margaret and Dick’s place was wonderful! They have created a really beautiful little home. She left us homemade lemon muffins and truly made us feel right at home. The bed and sheets were super clean and so soft. Even with the windy and chilly weather, the place stayed a perfect temperature. As mentioned in their description, the stars are amazing too! This Airbnb is perfect if you’re looking for a quiet, cozy getaway in the mountains with a view of the stars.
We had a wonderful stay at Dick and Margaret’s home. The woods in the backyard made for a magical birdwatcher’s paradise! The bed was so comfortable too! We’re excited to visit again soon.
Margaret and Dick’s place was absolutely beautiful! We loved the place and loved the history even more! We can’t wait to see the additions that are being added on and hope to come back soon!

We are retired educators who feel blessed beyond belief at getting to live in the country. During this time of high anxiety due to the corona virus, we feel for families who are living in confined spaces and cities where the numbers of cases have skyrocketed. Our family home place is very isolated (you just need to bring in all of the groceries you think you will need). The air is fresh and clean. There is plenty of room for children to run and play and for families to hike. We live only 4 miles away should a problem arise.
