We had a relaxing stay. Views from master bedroom, dock, and back porch are great. Some minor improvements could be made to make the stay better - pillows uncomfortable, mold on shower curtain, general upkeep (broken window, ceiling fans did not work consistently, water damage on ceiling, peeling paint on ceiling, no door to master toilet and master bedroom bathroom door won’t latch, broken window locks, lots of wall scuffs), house could definitely use a power wash especially compared to nearby houses. Lots of spices but many expired 10+ years ago so we didn’t use. It was a great place to sit around and relax but definitely room for improvement. My mom has mobility issues and I also have young children and I’m glad they didn’t go on this trip. The steps and porch have some irregular floor boards, there’s a broken window ledge I’d be afraid my toddler would hurt themselves on, and the dock is great but there’s bigger gaps than what you normally see which would be tricky for little feet.

Douglas was very responsive. There are many pluses staying at this property. Close to downtown Fairhope, a great dock set up, under the house parking, and plenty of room for the four of us. Beds were comfortable and the heat and air worked fine. Some issues. A window has a crack in it, the steps on the front and back of the house are not in good condition. Lots of boards that need replacing many are not even and are difficult to walk on, there is lots of exterior mold outside of the house. Regarding the kitchen. There are pots and pans, silverware, and general cooking utensils. However, the cooking pots and skillets are old and not in good shape. Plumbing worked fine. The fridge and dishwasher were clean and and worked well. The number one problem are the stairs at the front and the back of the house. They all need replacing. Just being inclusive of the good and not so good. We did enjoy our stay.
