Love island life and being surrounded by water and looking across to the mountains of Snowdonia - you get the best views of those fabulous peaks from the island. I have been really fortunate to travel to some really interesting, sometimes remote, sometimes lavish, and sometimes far flung corners of our planet. I co-authored a series of BBC travel books, photographing and writing about the most unforgettable experiences and adventures you can have. I even managed to drag my (now) husband Phil along at times- you might spot him in the Unforgettable Walks book that's on the coffee table in the cottage . He's the small speck, often just in the distance. He did a great job of bringing some perspective to those shots and still does...... and that's what brought us here, to Anglesey and our own Unforgettable escape. After all those wonderful travel experiences we wanted to create something that would offer a wonderful travel experience for others and we found a very special spot here. What is a cottage today was originally a cowshed part of the Hologwyn farm and the Marquiss of Anglesey's Estate. When we first set eyes on the spot we found a tangled, rambling ruin and everyone thought we were mad to buy it. But slowly and surely and with all those painstaking rennovation moments and DIY dilemmas we've converted a fallen down barn into a bolthole. We really hope it will be breath of fresh air for you, somewhere you'd like to return and somewhere that really feels truly special. We live next door so we can be on on hand to offer up local knowledge on some of the best places to eat and drink, walks to take, as well as guide you to those unforgettable island spots and experiences. There really is so much to do. We hope we've created a special Unforgettable escape and we hope you'll have some truly Unforgettable moments here too. We look forward to welcoming you.
