Wonderful place! Super close to everything. Very thoughtful (kid stuff and beach stuff provided). I would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to OIB.
We absolutely loved the Sugar Aisle! It was the perfect location for our little getaway! The place was clean, and just as described! It made it easy that they had so much additional items for the kids, beach, and just overall anything and everything we could need! Our biggest regret was not being able to stay longer! We loved how close it was to the beach, the pool was amazing! Would rebook ten times over! Stephanie was great, responsive, and extremely helpful!
This home is fantastic--a great location, wonderful hosts, many thoughtful touches. We will be back!
Lee and Stephanie’s house was perfect for our group! We had two toddlers and the location was perfect. You could see the ocean from the back deck and it’s a very short walk. The backyard is fenced in which was perfect for the kids. There were tons of beach toys, chairs, umbrellas and a wagon. It was also walking distance to a huge park and a great coffee shop and couple of restaurants. Their house totally exceeded our expectations!
We had a wonderful stay at Lee and Stephanie’s place. It was walkable to everything on the island, so close to the beach and the backyard was a paradise. The beds were so comfortable too. The street is a little noisy but not within their control. Would definitely recommend and book again in the future.

Hi! We're Lee and Stephanie Styers, based in Raleigh, NC with two young sons (Dylan and Freddie), dog (Dobby), and cat (Butters). In 2010, we went abroad to teach English as a Second Language in a small town in Thailand, and haven't stopped traveling the world since. While traveling and staying in many different places from hostels to AirBnBs, we've taken note of what makes a place positively memorable, comfortable, and feel like a home away from home. We're excited to take our travel experiences to create The Sugar Aisle, a genuinely special place at Ocean Isle Beach! Why the name "The Sugar Aisle"? - we were at the grocery store one day when Stephanie asked Lee "is this the sugar aisle"? Lee, confused, said "no, I think the sugar is a few rows over"... then he realized Stephanie was playfully asking for a kiss on the cheek! Later that evening, Stephanie remarked that "if we ever have a beach house, we should call it The Sugar Aisle". And thus a dream was born...
