Everything was beautiful! The location was great and nearby to Blackwater Falls State Park which is why my group and I were going to Davis, WV. We did have to do a bit for clean-up before check out as far as stripping the beds we slept in, taking all the garbage to the dumpster (located right down the road), running the dishwasher before we left and starting a load of towels and putting them in the dryer. There were towels already in the dryer so we also had to fold those which was a bit annoying. However, it was gorgeous and it was a perfect weekend getaway.

Great place, as advertised. Perfect for two families on a weekend ski getaway. The hot tub was a nice treat after long and cold days of skiing.

Great location halfway between the charming town of Davis and skiing at Timberline, Canaan or Whitegrass. Well appointed house in a quiet location. Charming home, well appointed, very comfortable.

My family and I spent Christmas at Bear Hug Inn, which was the perfect solution for my and my fiancé’s first attempts at blending our family traditions. The rental was beautiful, spacious, clean, comfortable, and decorated for the holiday. I enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, playing Scrabble around the spacious dining table, doing early morning yoga in front of the view out back, sledding at Blackwater Falls, live music at the Purple Fiddle, lunch and shopping in Thomas, relaxing by the fire, and soaking in the jacuzzi tub upstairs. We ran into a small issue the first morning, to which Matt responded quickly. We would absolutely stay again - especially now that we plan to make Christmas in Canaan our new tradition.

Very comfortable townhouse. Clean and well appointed. Enjoyed the fireplace and the hot tub. Nice wintertime view from the deck through the trees. Good location between Davis and ski resorts.
