This is the first negative review that I have written as I recognise how hurtful negative reviews are for hosts The good things The house is very clean and the beds are comfortable. If you don't complain about anything the host is lovely. The outside vine covered patio is very nice. This is obviously a well loved family house The bad The listing is not accurate. There were 11 missing amenities ranging from central aircon to oven, kettle, hot tub, bidet, dishwasher etc. While some of these did not impact on our stay the lack of oven and dishwasher did and with a 3 month old baby in 45C the lack of Aircon in a bedroom was problematic. Airbnb refunded me £100 for the missing amenities and this is when everything went downhill! We had no hot water in our 10 day stay. First of all the host accused us of lying about the lack of hot water. Then he sent 2 engineers who couldn't fix the supposed working hot water. The third engineer turned up at 12pm on our check out day. The house and furnishings are very old fashioned. There are personal photos and religious objects everywhere. Every drawer and cupboard is full of personal items from make up to clothes We received an email 3 days into our stay accusing us of using the aircon irrresponsibly and to turn it off. In a 7 room house there is Aircon only in 3 rooms and it was 45c . Mindful of the planet the Aircon was only ever at 25c and as soon as the baby left we turned it off I recognised that the host was not happy with us complaining so we spent a long time cleaning the house before departure. Swept all floors, removed all waste, disinfected the toilet, stripped the beds, washed the towels, cleaned all surfaces and then luckily took photos. A day after we left the host sent me a very unprofessional and abusive email accusing me and and family of being worse than animals. Accusing us of pissing and shitting in the beds (his words I would not use them normally) This was really upsetting. I absolutely cannot recommend this listing and I am in touch with Airbnb regarding the abusive emails.
