Wow! What a beautiful place in the bush with fabulous views towards Maitlands beach, the dunes and sea. Very private, peaceful and safe. On a small gated farmstead - but we never saw anyone other than when we checked in. We saw the animals as we drove in and out but we had our own gated garden so they don’t come up to the house (donkeys, horses and a couple of sheep). The house was stunning - even better than the photos. Extremely clean, comfortable, well designed and with a wrap round deck. One of the highlights for me was the outdoor bath tub with the view. Mario was the perfect host - very helpful and responsive if you had any questions but respected the privacy of his guests. We would love to come back - 4 days wasn’t long enough. Thank you Mario.

Marios Haus ist ein kleines Paradies umgeben von Wäldern und mit einer fantastischen Weitsicht. Das Haus ist perfekt ausgestattet, der Grill auf der Terrasse ist der Hammer und die Geräuschkulisse der Vögel und Grillen verzaubert. Man fühlt sich sofort wie zu Hause. Mario war immer erreichbar, hilfsbereit, sympathisch. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt!

This was our favourite Airbnb of the whole trip to South Africa. It is very private, has a beautiful view down at the green hills and maitlands beach. It is very well equipped with dishwasher, laundry machine, automatic espresso machine (we were so happy with the great coffee in the morning!). At night you can relax at the sofa on the veranda, enjoy a bath or make a fire in the fire place. All you hear is the singing of the birds. Definitely go for this accomodation if you like peace and quiet and being in nature!

Thank you Mario! What a special stay - only sad that we didn’t stay longer than 3 nights. Was a very special time for us and our little boys. The cottage is comfortable, private, with a wonderful view and a short drive to an awesome beach. Great braai and deck area. And Mario is a wonderful host. Thank you so much!
