Taktsang Bungalow lies amidst an apple orchard close to the world famous Taktsang. Tourists visit Bhutan just for this architectural and logistical marvel that clings on to the rock face of a sheer cliff 900m straight up from the valley floor. It is a traditional Bhutanese stone bungalow blending effortlessly with the landscape with all the comforts of a modern home. There is even a hotstone bath nearby and you can observe or even participate in the daily life of a Bhutanese farm. It is a cosy home in a peaceful village. There is a restaurant just across the road, fresh groceries straight from the gardens and you can experience the true life of a Bhutanese village. You can also order and eat local meals in the nearby traditionally built mud and timber farmhouses or have it delivered home. There is also a modern restaurant nearby and shops too. It is a small self sufficient community with just the right balance between the traditional and the modern.

The place is nice and cozy, just below the base of Takhtsang (Tiger's nest). Just 15 minutes from town.

Sonam was a wonderful host. She helped us the settle down and also helped us in our most of the requirements at the property. Her property is very aptly located from Paro Main Market and Tiger's Nest (base point). She and her aunt made our stay memorable one. The liberty given to us was plus point. We always found her as our go to person. Only regret is to be not able to go to her shop at Thimpu. 🙈

No doubt the place was sparkling clean.But the utensils and cooking instruments available in the kitchen is not up to the mark. The multicooker present in the kitchen does not always work properly due to loose connection.

It was one of the best choices I made for the trip! Your homestay is one of the closest to the entry point of Tiger's Nest - the most important aspect! I had a very comfortable stay at your place! I will recommend my acquaintances to stay with you when they plan a trek to Tiger's Nest! The location is called Ramthangka (on the Taktsang road) and is a quaint little village with paddy farms, apple orchards and gardens. It is completely safe and you can go and come any time of day or night without any apprehension. In fact residents leave homes unlocked unless they are away for more than a day.
There is also a restaurant and spa nearby if you want to indulge yourself a bit.

出行信息

The Bungalow is a 20 minute drive from the Paro town center. If you are doing the Tiger’s Nest hike you can just walk up to the base in a few minutes.
Due to the popularity of Taktsang, transportation will not be a problem at all. During the day it is awash with cabs and other cars (on hire) moving up and down from the Taktsang base from as early as 6:30AM. And even more conveniently, there are a few local taxis nearby for night travel if you wish to check out the night life or have a late dinner.
