I reviewed this public listing before posting this review to be sure it was accurate. Mercedes was a responsive host and the location is close to the Mojave Preserve (guessing the reason most guests stay here) but it is grossly overpriced, unsafe and not completely honest with the description. When you pull up the home on the left has huge no trespassing signs and the home on the right is dilapidated and partially torn down. There are no pics of these. I understand she has a ring doorbell but there are no deadbolts on the doors or bedroom doors (just a doorknob latch). No chain on the bedroom either. Luckily no other guest was in the home but if I had brought my girlfriend there's no way she would have felt safe there. However, the most egregious omission is that when you use the bathroom, all dirty toilet paper must be placed in the open top trash can next to the toilet rather than flushed. Can you imagine sharing this setup with a stranger? Primm is 45 min away and 2/3 the price

location is perfect and the house is big with 2 rooms but very separate. communication with host was very easy. there was a good selection of teas and coffee provided in the living room.

Had a great stay only for a night but would definitely come back if I was visiting the Mojave np
