This charming cottage is ideal for couples who love the outdoors, the perfect place to unwind, relax and explore this beautiful and peaceful part of the Cowal Peninsula. Let the sounds of the river lull you to sleep. Featuring an open plan living/dining room, a wood burning stove and comfortable sofa and armchair. A warm and cosy room to relax after a day's adventure to reflect on the beautiful scenery, sights and activities you have close by. The open plan area includes a small kitchenette area, a small fridge, combination microwave (grill, convection and microwave) and hob. There is a quaint table for two for meals with views out over the garden. For entertainment, the cottage features Freeview TV (FreeSat), Wi-Fi, a selection of books and DVD’s. The cottage is close to the scenic Allt Robuic gorge and waterfalls, and sits directly on the Cowal Way, a popular 57 mile trail between Inverglas and Portavadie. Glenbranter also offers an excellent base for more challenging hill walking with a number of easily accessible peaks, rising steeply above Loch Eck and affording stunning views over the Cowal peninsula, the Clyde sea lochs and beyond. Three miles away is Strachur village, with its two general stores, the famous Creggans Inn offering delicious food and a cosy bar, and the Bay Cottage tearoom's delightful breakfasts, takeaway rolls, and meals throughout the day.
