The Nest was absolutely perfect! Rondi is a perfect host and has created such a special place for her quests. The cabin was quite inviting and the decor reflected the Maine lakeside setting with lovely dishes, cutlery, bedding, furniture, art, and more. Sitting on the dock for sunsets and listening to the loons was extremely peaceful. We were quite sad to leave and hope to return again soon.
It’s hard to describe just how amazing our stay was at the Nest!! Such attention to detail and cozy surroundings with absolutely breathtaking views. My husband and I loved visiting the local shops and restaurants recommended by Rondi. There was even a guest book to sign, and it was just those little touches that totally made our time there special. We will totally book here again next time we’re in Maine!!
The Nest was the perfect location for a long weekend getaway! The cottage is cozy and clean, and Rondi was very responsive, friendly, and accommodating. We loved our stay and would recommend Camp Skogland to anyone visiting the area looking for a beautiful spot in the forest.
The cabin was as described. The lake was so beautiful and so quiet. We sat by the lake during the day and of course at sunset. We were lucky to have beautiful October weather while we were there. Next time we will bring groceries with us so we don’t have to leave the lake. We hope to come back next summer!
Great cottage for myself, wife, and baby and the lake was perfect. Our baby had never heard so close to near silence when sitting by it.

I have spent every summer of my life here at Camp Skoglund which was started by my father as a boy's camp in 1956. After a busy career in the financial industry I retired early to fulfill my dream of living here full time and helping my Dad run the camp, which has been rental cottages since 1990. Most importantly, I host to share the peace and contentment of Skoglund with others, as we’ve been doing since day one. It brings me great joy!
