Do not stay here!!! This place was filthy! It had urine all over the bathroom seat, bugs and old food in the microwave, dirty couch and it’s in an unsafe neighborhood. I needed a place to stay to visit my husband in Accra and this place gave us a nightmare honestly. My flight landed almost at midnight and we had a hard time finding the place. Frederick gave us the wrong address at first and then he gave us the right address after driving for 35 minutes. When we arrived at the apartment, we just wanted to sleep due to my very long flight and it was late. As soon as we walked in, I wanted to check the cleanliness of the place and I noticed the bathroom had urine all over the bathroom seat. The sink in the bathroom is located in the shower which was weird to me. The microwave had bugs and old food, the couch was dirty. It look like this apartment was an old store because it had those pull down doors but it look like it was converted into an apartment. The tv didn’t work, and it was in an unsafe neighborhood. So I requested for a refund the same night then 15 minutes later, we hear knocks at the door but we were too tired or even scared to answer. It was the host demanding for his keys back at 1:30am. Why would anyone ask for the keys back at that time knowing there’s nothing around for us to stay in. My husband called him the next morning and Fredrick offered us another apartment but at this point, I just wanted to leave. We paid him cash because he demanded a payment from us because we stayed after he gave us a refund. This place is a scam!

My 30 day stay here was very exciting! As it was my second trip to Ghana, I was able to get an even more fruitful experience. The location was very nice as it was not too crowded like my last stay in Accra. The location was ideal for me to explore around the area. Transportation was so useful and available as I either used a Uber or a Bolt (another version of Uber) to get around. There are so many places to eat here even tried some of the local dishes from a chief at the corner of where I stayed. I visited the local market and that was a great experience I know I will not forget. The landlord was very attentive to any of my needs and very informative about the area when I had questions. It made life easier than it ever had a mini grocery store on the first floor that met many of my needs, a bakery that made some awesome samosas that always sold out before the morning was over, and a gentleman that sold coconut water Straight from the Coconut! Right outside the building. Nothing could have tasted any better for my first experience. The place even had a barbershop that cut hair on a Monday nearby never got that in the US lol. A clothes and hair care shop on the first floor A dry cleaning across the street that did a pretty good job cleaning my clothes, socks, and all. I felt very safe and relaxed it was a great time to unwind and I don’t think I ate such fresh food here anywhere. I would have stayed longer if I could.
