A great house in the beautiful location.

Very pretty location, within the grounds of Soughton Hall. The house looked very welcoming and cosy when arriving, however the internal aspects of the house were very disappointing. There was a noticeable musty smell of damp throughout the house. The walls and skirting were dirty and dusty, with noticeable mould patches in corners of the house. The internal parts of the property are in need of maintenance and decoration. Sadly, the property appeared infested with ladybirds throughout the house. We counted at least 100, which were removed, but they soon reappeared the next morning. We sadly had to cancel our trip early. The host was extremely understanding and accommodating of our situation and refunded us the balance of the trip, and we are grateful to them for being so helpful with the whole process.

We had a fantastic stay in this wonderful lodge. It was in a beautiful location and pretty close to amenities with a lot of great walks right outside the front door. The place was immaculate and just like the listing, our kids loved it here, thanks for such a great stay, we’d happily come again!

A brief but extremely pleasant stay. A haven of tranquility and peace surrounded by nature. Very comfortable bed and very well equipped kitchen with breakfast cereals, fresh bread, jams, and milk, orange juice and butter in the fridge.

Lovely house to stay in for a few days, beautiful surroundings and easy to travel over to the national park. Owners were super helpful and some great food recommendations provided by host. Will definitely return!
